RMPS 2019 Tournament Games

The 2019 Rocky Mountain Pinball Showdown will be hosting two IFPA sanctioned tournaments and here are the game line-ups:

Main Tournament

Genesis, Jackbot, Eight Ball Deluxe, Wizard of Oz, The Addams Family, Indy 500, Guardians of the Galaxy (pro), Deadpool (pro), Metallica (pro)

Classics Tournament

Gorgar, Barracora, El Dorado, Old Chicago, Doodle Bug and Harlem Globetrotters

For those unfamiliar with any of these titles, I will make sure there is a PinPal for each one prior to the Showdown so if you haven’t already signed-up for access, perhaps now is a good time. 🙂

Black Knight Sword of Rage: Launch Party & Group KO Tourney

Stern’s newest game Black Knight Sword of Rage is at The 1up LoDo and Denver will be breaking it in during the official Launch Party this Sunday!

And LoDo’s not the only place in town where you can get your Rage on. Lyons Classic Pinball has their Sword of Rage setup side-by-side with an original Black Knight! Pinball Jones Old Town will be having a Launch Party just as soon as the Premium models start shipping from the factory so stay tuned for that date! (The IFPA calendar says May 12th but that is a place holder date to ensure their Launch Party is a sanctioned event.)

Black Knight Launch Party
When:
Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 6pm
Where: The 1up LoDo
Cost to enter: $5 plus quarters to play games
Format: 7 Strike (progressive) Group Knock-Out

Format Details

Players are paired against each other in groups of four. In that group, 1st place gets to smile. 2nd place gets 1 strike, 3rd place gets 2 strikes, 4th place gets 3 strikes. Once a player gets 7 strikes, that player is eliminated. Last person standing is the winner.

Payouts and Goodies

100% payout to the top 4 players. WPPR points and cash. Stern swag will be awarded and given out randomly along with four $10 1up gift cards good at all three Denver metro area locations. Plus all WPPR fees will be paid by The 1up and not taken from the pot!

Important Notes

This will be an all ages tournament but if you under 21, or bringing someone under 21, let Dan Gutchess know in advance (via Facebook event page). If you aren’t on Facebook, leave a comment on this post and we’ll let him know.

Parking at street meters is free all day. There are also $5-$10 lots in the area, though there is a 1:10pm Rockies game this day.
