Pre-registration is strongly encouraged to guarantee your spot. Please email Snow to pre-register: snow.galvin@gmail.com If all 36 spots are not claimed ahead of time, we will allow players to sign-up at the door, up until we hit the 36 player cap.

Practice is allowed on tournament machines from 11am-12:30pm. Tournament rules/format will be explained to all participants at 12:30p so please be checked in by this time.

Format - Qualifying

Players will be divided into 4 players groups and will play in that group for the duration of qualifying. Each group will be assigned a different starting Pin-Hole (machine) and will play each Pin-Hole in order until the entire course is completed (9 Pin-Holes in all).

Each Pin-Hole will consist of a pinball machine with an objective. The number of balls it takes for the player to complete that objective will represent the number of Pin-Strokes earned for that hole. Should a player not complete that objective, he or she will receive 6 Pin-Strokes for that Pin-Hole.

Objective examples (Not necessarily being used in this tournament):

  • Iron Man: Start Monger Multiball
  • Fish Tales: Score a Monster Fish

At the end of qualifying, all players will be ranked with the highest qualifier having the fewest strokes – meaning the player who needed the fewest number of balls to reach each objective across all 9 games. The top 8 players  will advance to Finals.

Tie Breakers

Tiebreakers will be determined by comparing the number of 1-strokes each player scored. If the players all had the same number of 1-stroke games then the number of 2-stroke games will determine the higher seed. If those are the same then the number of 3-stroke games will be compared and so on.

Format - Finals

Finals will begin immediately after qualifying ends with 8 people advancing to play-offs. The Semi-Final round will consist of two 4-player groups. The top seed overall will have his/her choice of which set of 3 games their group will play, with the choices being Pin-Holes #1-2-3, Holes #4-5-6 or Holes #7-8-9. The top seed of the second group will then get to choose between the remaining 2 Pin-Hole sets. The Final round will then take place on the remaining set of games which was not used during Semi-Finals.

Each 4-player game will be played and scored using the same Pin-Golf scoring used in the qualifying rounds. Each round will consist of 3 games played. A minimum score per finals round is 3 strokes, and a maximum score per finals round is 18 strokes. The two players with the lowest Pin-Strokes in each group will advance to the next round.

100% Payouts

All 8 players who advance to Finals will win a percentage of the total prize purse (entry fees) while the top 4 finishers will also win trophies! Be sure to thank the McCarthy family for sponsoring the $1/player IFPA fee.
